Just about everyone has some sort of cordless drill in their garage or at least knows someone that does. As the cordless drill is one of the most versatile and handy tools to have around. But if you need to drill into concrete for a particular DIY project, you might be wondering if you can use a cordless drill for concrete? When You Should and Shouldn't Use A Cordless Drill for Concrete While you can use a rotary cordless drill to drill a few holes into concrete. If you have more than a few holes to drill, you should be using something more substantial than just a basic cordless drill. High Torque or Unit Watts Out When looking at the specs on a cordless drill the two most common measurements of a cordless drill's power capability are torque and unit watts out.
